Social English Skills is a 4-credit blended course designed to help you develop the necessary skills to participate in different social situations in English. We are going to help you improve effective oral and written communication through the acquisition of a set of vocabulary and structures organized in four different thematic units. By the end of the course, at a beginner level, you are expected to be able to solve and interact in specific social situations with fluency and confidence. |

By the end of the course, at an elementary level, you are expected to be able to…
-Communicate more effectively in speaking and writing within the four social situations presented in this course: at the airport, at the hotel, at the restaurant, meeting an American.
-Work collaboratively with your classmates while solving real-life situations.
-Make a competent use of digital tools to learn, self manage your learning process and communicate effectively.
-Recognize and acknowledge the sociocultural differences between our culture and the English speaking cultures.

Tipo de certificado de aprobación
Este curso genera 4 créditos para la U.C. Inglés al aprobar el curso.
Para aprobar este curso deberás:
1- Completar el 100% de las tareas ofrecidas en cada módulo.
2- Obtener un mínimo de 70% en el total del puntaje.
3- Participar en todos los foros de cada unidad.

Hola! Mi nombre es Marìa Noel Maquieira. Soy Docente Encargada de Inglés del Departamento de Lenguas de UTEC. También soy la Referente del Programa de Lenguas en el ITR Centrosur. Soy egresada del Instituto de Profesores Artigas y Traductora Pública. En el momento, me encuentro cursando estudios de Maestría en la Universidad de Nottingham en el programa Digital Technologies for Language Teaching and Learning.
