Polish your English I is a 4 credit blended course designed to help you revise the basis of the English Language. Students will work on 5 different thematic units along the course and will strengthen their knowledge of general vocabulary and grammar. At the same time, we will be working on their reading and listening comprehension skills as well as on developing their oral abilities. The course will also integrate different technological tools along the classroom which will help students expand their personal learning environments. |

Objetivos Especificos
By the end of the course, at an elementary level, you are expected to be able to…
1) Introduce yourself to the class and give general information about you.
2) Describe a place and activities you can do there. Give reasons why people should/shouldn’t visit it.
3) Talk about healthy and unhealthy habits. Give suggestions on how to improve your lifestyle.
Habilidades y competencias a desarrollar
Students at this level can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and
very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. They can
introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal
details such as where they live, people they know and things they have. They can
interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is
prepared to help.

Este curso cuenta con constancia de participación.
Para aprobar este curso deberás:
1- Completar el 100% de las tareas ofrecidas en cada módulo.
2- Obtener un mínimo de 70% en el total del puntaje.
3- Participar en todos los foros de cada unidad.

Soy docente encargada del Inglés del Departamento de Lenguas de UTEC. También soy la referente del Programa de Lenguas en el ITR Norte. Egresé del Instituto de Profesores Artigas en el año 2006. En el 2019 culminé mis estudios de Maestría en la Universidad de Nottingham, Inglaterra en el Programa MA Digital Technologies for Language Teaching and Learning
