"Business English is a 4 credit self paced course. It is aimed at B1 level students who are professional, adult learners who want to improve their language level at work and in social settings. Business English provides learners with the language and skills they need through different motivating and engaging materials and activities. Authentic business stories and situations form the basis for texts, dialogues, videos, etc. The course reflects the need for students at this level to develop their grammatical competence,increase their lexical range and, above all, acquire strategies to communicate effectively in both professional and social situations. Objetivos Especificos
By the end of the course, the students will:
– develop their grammatical competence,
– increase their vocabulary in connection to business, the world of work and professional areas
– acquire strategies to communicate effectively in professional and social situations
More specifically, the students will be able to:
– design their CV in English
– be aware of important elements to bear in mind for a job interview in English
– talk about their company/work
– learn the basics of phone and email communication
– describe a company profile
– make work-travel arrangements
– identify healthy habits to increase productivity

Tipo de certificado de aprobación
Para aprobar este curso deberás:
1- Completar el 100% de las tareas ofrecidas en cada módulo.
2- Obtener un mínimo de 70% en el total del puntaje.
-Las actividades equivalen a un 70% del puntaje final.
-La pruebas equivalen a un 30% del puntaje final.
Perfil del
Participante
Estudiantes que deseen mejorar su nivel de inglés a través del trabajo con materiales relacionados a inglés comercial. Se recomienda para estudiantes con nivel A2 o superior.

En el momento, se encuentra cursando estudios de Maestría en la Universidad de Nottingham en el programa Digital Technologies for Language Teaching and Learning.
